Weekly Update – August 26th, 2021
September 12th is a day that I have been looking forward to for several weeks. It is not as though this day is significant for any reason, but at least in my mind, it is a date that will kick off many of the ministries of our church. For the last year and a half, we have restricted many of our functions as a church, but coming in September, my hope is that we can cautiously return to some sort of normality.
First, on September 12th, during the Bible Study hour, we will begin with a slightly different structure with new class offerings. This will be followed by our service, where we will take the Lord’s Supper together. Then, at the conclusion of the service, we will have a meal together in the Faith Center Gym. In addition, on this day, we will continue to encourage upcoming opportunities to connect through our Ladies Bible Study, Men’s’ Prayer Morning, Awana and more. There will also be a gift handed out that morning to you.
I understand that there are still a handful of people who have not come back since Covid restrictions went in place. I also understand that there are a few who will remain at home even still for the time being. But, there are others who may simply need an invite. Beyond that, there are even others outside of the church who might be willing to come if invited. Take the opportunity as we approach this date to ask someone to come with you.
Serving Him with You,
Pastor Michael Nelson

Fighter Verse for the Week:
“Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. [They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.]” – Psalm 20:6-8
