An Interesting Weekend

An Interesting Weekend

Weekly Update – September 1st, 2021

What an interesting weekend! On Friday morning I woke up feeling incredibly sick, so I went and took three tests that day to see if it was Covid. I didn’t really need three, but I wanted to confirm, just in case one was off. Well, all three came back positive. Then, due to the fact that I had been around a number of people from church on Thursday, we decided that it was best to cancel all activities for the weekend. Unfortunately, I still won’t see you all this coming Sunday either, as my quarantine period won’t end until Monday, September 5th. Pastor Matt will finish out our study in Ezra for us on that Sunday.

One of the activities that was cancelled last weekend was our work day. Did you know that it has been probably close to 2 years since we have had a good work day? That means that we must find a way to reschedule. Therefore, on September 11th from 8am-12pm, we will have our previously scheduled work day at the church. I hope that you can make it that day. There will be a light breakfast served, and plenty of items to work on.

Being sick is always frustrating. What makes it even worse is having to isolate from others. Unfortunately, it looks like this will run through our entire family too. Even so, I am so thankful for you all. All of your calls, texts, messages and practical service has really ministered to us at this time. I truly appreciate your care and concern for my family. I look forward to being back with you all soon!

Serving Him with You,
Pastor Michael Nelson
