Weekly Update – April 15th, 2021
On April 23rd, beginning 6:00pm at the church, we will join David Platt via simulcast for an intense evening of Bible study and prayer. The goal of this event is to simulate the experiences of churches who are persecuted for the Word of God, but yet hungry for it at the same time. We will join with thousands of other people from all over the world for this 6 hour night. Come and join us for some of it, or for the entire evening, as we study together and pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world.
The theme for this year’s secret church is The Great Imbalance. The goal of this theme is to think together about the lack of attention and resources still being given to those with little to no access to the gospel. We are blessed with every resource imaginable, right at our finger tips. If we have a question about anything in the scriptures, we can find an answer to it reasonably quick. Yet, at the same time, there are many in our world who still have no access to the name of Jesus or to the message about what he has done to save all who will come to him. That is the focus of Secret Church this year. To hear more about this focus, you can watch David Platt’s video HERE. You can also learn more about the focus of prayer for this evening HERE. To simply learn more about Secret Church, you can find that HERE.
This week we will be in Matthew 6:5-8. I hope that you will join us in person or via livestream.

Fighter Verse for the Week:
"And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." - James 1:4-5
