Children’s Ministry

We are doing our best to keep children and volunteers safe.  At this time, there are no Sunday children’s activities.  We are currently offering nursery for children birth – 4 years old.

The Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church exists to partner with families in an effort to expand their child’s understanding of Christ and his gospel.  Below are a few opportunities for your children to connect with our church as we seek to fulfill this mission:

Sunday Mornings:

Children’s Sunday school meets from 9:15 – 10:15 am every Sunday morning. This is a key time for children from birth – 5th grade to participate in small group Bible Study. Our teachers love God and they make the most of the opportunity they have to share God’s Word with your children.

Our worship gathering is at 10:30 am.  There is a nursery for children birth – 4 years old.

Sunday Evenings:

Awana Clubs serve children ages 4 years – 6th grade.  They meet every Sunday night 5:45 – 7:30 pm from September – May.  There is a dinner provided at 5:15 pm for children in the Awana program.

Vacation Bible School:

Every year in July, First Baptist Church hosts its annual Vacation Bible School.  We offer teaching, crafts, snacks, games, missions and music all centered around one biblical theme.  With focused attention given to every age group, we welcome all children entering Kindergarten – completing 5th grade.

Check-in Procedures:

All children from birth through kindergarten must be properly checked in with their designated teacher.  A nursery volunteer will check children in on the computer in the nursery common room.  In addition to faithfully teaching your children, our objective is to rightly care for the physical well-being of your child.   For more information about our child protection policy, please click here.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
