Upcoming Meeting

Weekly Update – December 8th, 2022

On Sunday night, we will meet for our final quarterly members’ meeting of the year. During this meeting, you will hear of updates from various ministries, be encouraged by what the Lord is doing in our church, have an opportunity to pray, and finally, participate in the decision making process of the church. The goal of members’ meetings are to create a family type of atmosphere where we can celebrate God’s hand at work, while also making decisions together on the future direction of our church. There are many important items that we will talk about when we gather. Here are a few of them.

First, we will vote on the constitution and by-laws proposed in the September members’ meeting. A few of the highlights of this proposal include a shift to an elder led leadership model, as well as a new statement on what we believe about sexuality. You can find this full document HERE. You can find just the statement on biblical sexuality HERE.

Second, we will vote on a proposed contract to sell the 4 acre plot of land, north of the church. We talked about the proposed price of the sale on November 27th, but on Sunday, we will update you on the specifics of the contract and vote on the entire proposal to move forward with the sale.

Third, we will vote on the proposal to remodel the front portion of the sanctuary. This, more or less, involves the structure of our building, which includes the front portico, the pillars, the roof and the steeple.

In addition to voting on several items, you will hear updates from our missionaries, outreach opportunities, our teaching ministries, the safety team, and about our membership. I hope that you will make it a priority to come. We will have a potluck dinner beforehand at 5:30pm before we meet at 6:30pm. Come, be encouraged, take part in making decisions, and fellowship with other members as we continue to strive together in seeing our families, our community and our world transformed by the power of God.

Serving Him with You,
