Awana Kickoff Party/VBS Fun Night
Our VBS Fun Night was postponed from July 14th to September 9th. We will have our Awana Kickoff Party alongside the VBS Fun Night. Everyone is invited to join us for this outdoor event 5pm-8pm Saturday, September 9th. We will have bounce houses, hotdogs, and more! We hope to reconnect with all of the families from Vacation Bible School and invite them to Awana and Youth Group, which will begin meeting on Wednesday evenings the following week.

Church Work Day
We will have a church work day 8am-12pm on Saturday, August 19th. We will have lots of jobs for people of all ages and capabilities to do, so come on out and lend a hand as we look to maintain the church building.

Join us at 10:30am Sunday, August 27th, as we celebrate 175 years of First Baptist Church of Grandview. We will have a potluck lunch following the service.

Men’s Retreat 2023
All men of the church are invited to a men’s retreat on Friday, September 29th-Saturday, September 30th. The retreat will be held in Rushville, MO., at God’s Mountain Camp. Men’s Outing: WWI Museum
On May 20th, the men will go to the World War I museum. We will carpool or take the church van, leaving at 12:30pm. Cost for the museum is $16. After the World War I museum, the men will plan to go to Burnt Ends BBQ for an early dinner. Look for a sign up sheet in the hallway.

Parent/Child Dedication
On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th, we will have a parent/child dedication during our morning service. This is a time for parents to affirm their commitment to raise their child in the Lord (Eph. 6:4), as well as the church to affirm their commitment to invest and encourage parents as well as pray for their child to one day know the Lord. Vacation Bible School: Twists & Turns
Every year in July, First Baptist Church hosts its annual Vacation Bible School. We offer teaching, crafts, snacks, games, missions and music all centered around one biblical theme. With focused attention given to every age group, we welcome all children entering Kindergarten – entering 6th grade. Vacation Bible School will run 5:45pm-8:00pm – July 10th-14th.
